I’m a professional photographer drawn to the poetry of landscapes, night skies, and the spaces we build. My work spans fine-art landscape and nightscape prints, as well as real estate and architectural photography; each rooted in a deep love for nature and light.
Born in the Pacific Northwest and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho from the age of six, my childhood unfolded among mountains, forests, and endless winter storms. Skiing, skateboarding, and mountain biking weren’t just pastimes; they were ways of studying movement, form, and the world’s natural rhythm.
From second through eighth grade, I attended a Waldorf school, an experience that nourished my creativity and taught me to look closely, patiently, and with curiosity at the world around me. In 2014, I moved to Salt Lake City to study Economics with a minor in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism at the University of Utah. While there, during a period marked by personal health challenges, I found myself searching for a creative outlet; something grounding, something that made sense. The moment I picked up my first camera, everything shifted. Through the lens, I found a sense of refuge and a vision that felt distinctly my own.
My connection to the night sky began long before using a camera. As a child, I spent countless evenings lying in my backyard, watching the stars rise above the silhouettes of pines. Living in a place with so little light pollution felt like a gift. That early awe has grown into a lifelong pursuit: chasing the Milky Way across mountains, deserts, and coastlines. Today, nearly 80% of the U.S. population can’t see the Milky Way where they live; something I hope to change by sharing the night as I experience it. My search for the darkest skies has taken me around the world, including to La Palma, Spain, one of the darkest places on Earth.
Through my work, I hope to inspire others to step outside, breathe deeply, and rediscover the beauty that waits in the wild and in the dark. The world is luminous; sometimes you just have to go where the lights are fewer to see it.
Since 2016, I have professionally photographed properties for real estate companies, architects, builders, and vacation rental owners. I am also a commercially licensed drone pilot (Part 107 certified), allowing me to provide high-quality aerial imagery in addition to traditional still photography.
